My desktop is a legacy machine I currently have XP installed on it and flash 10 this is where the lack of cpu cycles really irks me. if only vlc had a plugin for playing flash videos on youtube so I in search of an alternative os to maybe perk up flash. would freebsd, puppylinux, haiku or even beos bring my pixels to speed?
I wouldn't try it on a 350Mhz processor. But yeah, a smaller and more resourceful OS would probably give you a better chance of playing the video. An easier solution though, would be just to use better hardware instead.
I also hope it has at least 256MB... 384 would be nice and obviously, an antivirus should be out of the question.
XD yeah but why does adobe flash player have to be such a resource hog. i have exactly 384 mb of memory in the machine as for overclocking i don't think i will the ram has lasted this long and i don't want to fry it
