New video card??

Hello,
I am going to be buying a new video card soon, FINALLY! after week and weeks of keeping my room clean and and not fighting with my brother, lol...my parents said i can pick out a new video card for my PC, i read that a 5870 is the best card in the world right now? this is true? i just need some "tips" on what to buy thank guys.

What are your other system specs and what resolution do you play at ?

The 5970 is the fastest card, but you'll want a 500W(Extreme quality) or higher PSU. You'll also need a dual-core OC'd to 3.8ghz+ or quad core (Q9xxx, Core i5, core i7, Phenom II x3, Phenom II x4) OC'd to 3.6ghz+ to cope with it.

i have a Phenom II 965 C3 at 3.8Ghz currently so i guess im good
