My i7-870 always show up having 24x multiplier in cpuz.
Turbo is supposed to give me 2/2/4/5 additional multipliers when using 4/3/2/1 cores respectively. How come it never goes up to 26x/27x even when running double or single core apps?
The main reason is probably that you don't have cores that are idle long enough for Turbo to become effective. Windows always has stuff to do in the background, hence the cores don't power down completely and Turbo never kicks in.
