okay price HAS to be under 250$, and that includes monitor+speakers. not looking to pay much for the speakers, just want something better than the monitors.

monitor will be used for gaming, im currently using one 5770 gfx card, but later will be upgrading to crossfired 5770's so that should give you an idea of what resolution i need (crossfired-Exceptional 1920x1200 performance, Good 2560x1600 performance in most games)

i dont know much about monitors/speakers but i was thinking something like this:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236052

and maybe this

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16836121014

any help is appreciated, thanks in advance!

will be ordering this asap, soon as i get the money.

These ones are good. Personally I only trust SAMSUNG and ASUS but its up to you. The bad thing about the SAMSUNG models is that it doesnt have HDMI. Stick with at least 2ms for gaming. The ASUS models offer HDMI but I haven't looked at them in detail.

SAMSUNG P2350-1 Rose Black 23" 2ms(GTG) Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 DC 50000:1(1000:1) $219

or ththe same thing in 21.5"

SAMSUNG P2250 Rose Black 21.5" 2ms(GTG) Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 DC 50000:1(1000:1) $189

ASUS MS236H Glossy Black / White 23" 2ms(GTG) Ring stand and Ergo-fit technology Widescreen LCD Monitor w/HDMI 250 cd/m2 ASCR 50000:1 $195
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236081&Tpk=asus ms236h

ASUS VE246H Black 24" 2ms(GTG) HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor 250 cd/m2 50000 :1 (ASCR) Built-in Speakers $229
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236082&Tpk=ve246h

I would recommend the ASUS MS236H but the first SAMSUNG model is also very good, if you do not intend to connect a HDMI cable to it.

For the speakers try any of these:

I don't know too much about speakers so I just chose Logitech :D Don't go under 2.1 unless you need portability.

is there ant noticeable difference between 5ms and 2ms? if not id rather just go with what is cheaper.

mrhoshos you linked the same monitor i said, but im worried about its longetivity. i have seen many people complaining about screen flicker less than a year after having it, id like this monitor to last me some time so im not sure about that one.

and i dont really want to pay more than 30$ shipped on the speakers, i think ill use the ones from my first post. logitech, in my price range, and has decent reviews.

oh and i cant use a Ring stand monitor, my monitor sits pretty high on my desk and since it has to slightly lean back by design, i wouldnt have a very good angle looking at my monitor.

I've used both Samsung and Acer monitors, and I like both. For reliability, I prefer and use Acer at this time. For my money the Acer H233Hbmid Black 23" 5ms HDMI Full HD 1080P Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 40000:1 (ACM) Built in Speakers listed on Newegg is one of the best. And the Logitech speakers are very good also. Enjoy whatever you get.
