hi guys.
ordered a new pc set up and excited about getting it all put together.
the only bit im unsure about is the OS
I recently bought the upgrade edition of windows 7 pro (student discount as im at uni) to install on my laptop and i want the same on my new pc
What will happen if i try a clean install with an upgrade disc?
ive heard there are "tricks" to get it to work but if it does work i dont want it to stop after a month or something like that.
I have an old windows XP disc knocking about somewhere so maybe i could install that first then try upgrade?
basically im trying to avoid forking out more money on another copy of windows!!!
is it possible in my situation? Are there any "tricks" that i may use for this as ive read the stickys and doesnt seem 100% clear
