You don't need 850W if you are not going to SLI or Xfire. A good 650W or higher will do and save some $. You can even get a better rated PSU (gold or silver as opposed to bronze) if you want to spend the same $.

If you are not going to OC your CPU then the 2500K is not necessary. I'd suggest the 2400 or 2500 instead to save $. But if you ever might OC the get the K series.

If you are going to OC get the P67 series or Z68 series. If you are not OCing then the H67 series can save you some serious $.

If you are going to install a SSD then go for a mobo with SATA 3 and a SATA 3 SSD. The SSD is probably the only device that can really use the bandwidth of SATA 3.

If you give some more info on your planned use you can get better recommendations.

Thanks for the quick answer.

I am most likely sure that I will not do SLI due to GTX580 being so powerful and I am pretty sure it will last me around 3 years or so.

The only reason that i picked that psu is because of the combo deal, but what you are saying makes perfect sense, i will look into getting something with a higher rating. Do you have any recommendations?
I found one that I might consider.

Also, since I am getting the CPU cooler I believe I will give it a shot and OC my CPU a little bit, nothing crazy though.

This is what I am looking at in terms of motherboard. It surprises me that this one and the one configured for SLI are the same price.

Lastly, this computer will be used mostly for gaming such as Witcher2, SC2, BF3 and BC2.
I have a 27.5" monitor and will do gaming at 1920 X 1200 resolution

Please let me know if that motherboard will suit me well or should I look into some other brand.

thanks

I have an ASRock P67 Extreme6 and like ASRock because of the UFEI (user interface) and easy overclocking. OC'ing with an ASRock is alomost foolproof, although I am certain other mobos can do as well.

But for features for price I don't think anyone else beats ASRock.

ASRock P67 EXTREME4 (B3) LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

and this PSU

CORSAIR Professional Series AX750 750W ATX12V v2.31 / EPS12V v2.92 80 PLUS GOLD Certified

what would I be missing by not choosing Extreme 6

You will miss 2 SATA 6.0 MBps ports a, couple of USB 3 and the dual LAN. The Extreme4 is a great mobo and there is a combo price on the Corsair 750W or 650W.

I also notice that there are open box offers of the Extreme4 and Extreme6. If you are willing to gamble these open box offers save $$. But don't go there unless you are willing to take the risk. I did and am very happy to pocket $40.
