My 500 GB Seagate external hard disk not detecting

Hello, my Seagate external hard disk is not getting detected by computer. Only till yesterday it was functionoing normally. Now when I connect there is no green light and its not working. I have tried it in two different systems, laptop and a desktop as well as tried two different USB cable. What to do ?

It may be the power adapter that's died if it uses one. You can buy a third-party one but make sure it's output values are the same (volts and amps) and the the centre pin is the same polarity (ie negative or positive).
