Comp suddenly slow cpu speed not showing

I have a desktop that suddenly got very slow and the cpu speen is not showing under system properties just the ram. Should I just replace the cpu? Or could it be something else?

If you could post your full system specs that will help us get a better idea of what we're dealing with. Also how are your temperatures?
HWMonitor from CPUID is a good utility for monitoring all of your hardware and will also show you the temperatures of most of your components:
