$750 SC2 Gaming PC

BUDGET RANGE: ~$750 AFTER Rebate ($1k w/ monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers)

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming: particularly SC2 and eventually D3

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: None (NEED monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers)

MONITOR RESOLUTION: Don't currently have monitor, need one

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: I haven't had a PC for about 5 years, but with the return of SC2 I'm looking to build a reasonably priced PC. Frankly, I don't know anything about current hardware, which is why I need some help. I don't have a monitor, mouse, keyboard, or speakers, which I'd obviously need. Also, the networking card would have to be wireless.

  1. This is one of the budget builds that was stickied... Any suggestions on how to get it about $150 cheaper? Also, would I need to get a wireless networking card or is the motherboard network wireless?

    Hello lfc4life;
    You probably need a copy of Windows too, correct?

    Arctic Silver 5 and CM Hyper 212+ can be set aside - use the stock CPU cooler. $60 savings.

  4. I would strongly advise this monitor :
    Asus MS238H LED
  5. According to these benchmarks, the 5770 card can get almost 44 fps in SC2 at 1920x1200.
    With an 1080p monitor (1920x1080), you should get more than 44. Not bad at all, IMO. :D,2611-6.html
