Network connection between 2 pc via crossover cable

I have 8 computers which are connected to 8 port switch. Now i'm trying to connect a new pc by using a crossover cable with one of those computer which has 2 nic card. one nic card is connected with 8 port switch and the other one is connected with new pc.i have already entered same workgroup name in all computers.but there is no network connection and internet connection in new pc.our internet connection is configured as pppoe method.plz help.

You need to bridge those two connections on the PC. Go to Start->Run, type "ncpa.cpl" (no quotes), and hit enter. Select the two connections, right click, and select Bridge Connections.
