3 days ago my pc was struck by lightning. When booting i can hear one beep (a short one) and then the BIOS screen shows up.My system reads the cpu (intel core i7) then it recognises ram and motherboard ( gigabyte H55m) and after that another screen comes up.This message appears:-loading operating system- and a few seconds later a second line appears with the following msg:DISC BOOT FAILURE.INSERT SYSTEM DISC AND PRESS ENTER.i inserted the system disc but the problem is that the keyboard doesnt work(Actually it can gather enough power to operate bacause a little green light turns on every time i boot my pc).I contacted some friends and they told me that my hdd is fucked up.Yesterday i bought a new WD hdd (1TB) i installed him but i was still getting the same message.A friend told me that the keyboard doesnt work because theres no OS installed....I tried to load win 7 64 bit but then the following message appeared:"the system has experienced boot failures because of overclocking or changes of voltages.Last settings In bios setup may not coincide with current H/W status

current cpu speed:2.93 gHz
current BCLK:133 MHz
current Memory Speed:1333 MHz
press any key to continue...."

After that i tried to remove the motherboard's battery for a while but still the same results...I Tried to use ps2 keyboards, and 4 different usb keyboards.Any ideas??

Hi,
First off, can you please alter your post to something like:
I contacted some friends and they told me that my hdd is defective/broken/not working, we have some young impressionable members frequenting the site and we dont want to upset any parents :)
You removed the battery already, how long for?
and run through this, http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/261145-13-perform-steps-posting-boot-video-problems
dont scan through, work through, you may pick up a detail thats handy for us,
it may be your hdd, then again it could easily be your psu or processor,
follow the link and post back any findings :)

im sorry for the innapropriate language but this is the only way to describe its condition......Thanks for the reply

I'd still edit it out man, some moderators are lenient on things, some not so much :p
while you have the battery out,
press your powerbutton just to drain the capacitors, it should spin up for a second, thats normal
look for any burns, scorching, melted/discoloured connectors/wires, anything thats not right in your view, it may not look much but it could be a fatailty to electronic circuits
put battery back (assuming no other issues)
try booting again

These are some screenshots i just made from my pc.Personally i dont see smth wrong.Have a look at them

I cant make out any possible burn damage from that pic sorry,
you've reset the cmos (took battery out)
and thats not helped any,
I'd take it to a local pc store, tell them the history and see what they can find, unless you have a nearby computer savvy mate who can look at it for you?
