Hi!

If I buy a 2000 or 1600 MHz memory, than will it certainly work in my 1333 MHz compatible motherboard with a 1333 frequency. In other words, operating at a significantly lower frequency can not be a problem, can it?

The timing of a memory, more precisely the time it takes a memory to for example read (for example in ns) is fully independent of the frequency used, isn't it?
So for example if I buy a 2000 MHz memory with CL9 timing, than will it definitely work with a CL6 timing at 1333 MHz? (6 = 9*1333/2000)

Thank you for your help in advance.

Solution
no you will just operate at what your motherboard puts out....which also means overclocking your ram if your into that is more stable
