Replacement for heat sink SNK-0040 - 1U Passive Copper Heatsink with Mounting Sc

Hi

Could someone please help me find a suitable replacement for "SNK-0040 - 1U Passive Copper Heatsink with Mounting Screws" for a used supermicro 6013P-T server I bought recently. Else kindly tell where can I buy this heat sink in UK.

This might be usefull, although you might have to remove the fan for it to fit:

If your 1U has ducting (like the Dell PowerEgde 1850) for cooling then removing the fan shouldn't cause a problem and this heatsink should fit fine.


If the screw gaping is the same as the LGA771 as on the SKT604 then look into these heatsinks instead:

I just checked the LGA771 and SKT604 can use each others heatsinks as long as its the screw type fitting and not the clip retainer type. Hope this helps.

Bought a "Akasa AK-380-2 Intel Xeon Nocona Copper Cooler 604 pin". got rid of the fan and the heatsink fits perfectly. Thanks again hairystuff
