These two GPUs are very similar. However, one is less in price than the other. It seems the only difference between them is the Effective Memory Clock. My question is, is the better effective memory clock worth the extra money?

The 2nd one, it's cheaper, and you can overclock the memory by yourself in ATI's Drivers.

They are identical specs wise, i think they are supposed to come with slightly different coolers, but it seems like newegg chose the cheaper one for the sale for this weekend and thats why its cheaper. Definitely go for the cheaper one, i see no justification for the more expensive one.

pretty much, buy the cheaper one. overclocking is easy and you can obtain much higher clocks speeds than factory overclocks
