Harddrive replacement

Help please my old laptop harddrive went. Dell inspiron 1150 . specs says interface ata 100. Will Hitachi Travelstar 5K160 HTS541612J9AT00 work ? Its interface is ata 133.

most ata133 ide drives will fall back to the ata100 speed with no issues. the only thing i would check is how large of a drive the laptop bios will see. if the drives are the same size or close you should not have any issue.

Thanks. Yea I read on that. Maximum harddrive is 120 gig. I know its old the laptop but i already over the years updated cpu to penium 4 3.06. Ram to 2gig. wlan g card to wlan n card. I thouht it would roll backto ata 100 if I put in a ata 133 harddrive. Thanks. Last updated for this old laptop. lol.
