Hello: Somehow I lost my bootable disk for emachine E527-2537.
I am out of work and need to use my laptop for setting up interviews. I am using a friends desktop to see if I can get a boot disk. Can anyone guide me as to what to do?I don't know much about PC's.

You could always get a Linux "Live" distribution such as Knoppix or Ubuntu, which let you run them off of a DVD or USB drive. There will be a few tradeoffs, but considering the alternative right now is a non-functioning computer, seems like an easy decision to make.
