I've just been wondering if its possible to use an old CPU air cooling fan as a case fan? and if it is does it even make sense to do so?

Solution
A crappy fan isnt necessarily better than no fan, it can actually be worse as if its not spinning fast enough and pushing enough air through so it causes resistance to the air, it will also add some additional noise for likely not much of an increase in cooling.

thanks for quick reply and the only reason I asked is because my case can support more fans then I would wanna buy so I figured I could mount a old Cpu fan, as a crappy fan is better then no fan at all although I might just leave it.
