Hi, I bought a 128gb vertex 4, and want to transfer an existing windows xp OS from a hdd onto the new drive. (keep in mind that I don't have the windows xp installation disk). I know that XP doesn't support TRIM, but how can I clone/transfer the XP to the new drive anyway?

Use Norton Ghost - it should do the trick. Keep in mind though, that it's always better to make a fresh installation so try borrowing the disk.

If you have WD HDD get the Acronis True Image WD Edition Software for free http://support.wdc.com/product/downloaddetail.asp?swid=...

If you have the Seagate get the DiscWizard (also Acronis ) for free too http://www.seagate.com/support/downloads/
