Low energy consumption computer

I'm going to put together a computer that is silent and draws little power. This machine is going to keep an eye on our home, monitoring temperatures, hosting a web server som that I remotely can activate an air source heat pump, hosting web cameras etc. What types of computer would be suitable for my needs?

lol doesn't sound like you need a low power computer.

A low to mid end computer with onboard graphics, shouldn't draw too much power.

What types of computer would be suitable for my needs?

A dual-core Atom can do that while consuming about 40W. But you might be better off with a low-power i3 or i5 system so it has more CPU power available if it needs it.
