Dell inspiron 1525 SSD Windows 7 still slow...

Hi, I've upgraded my Dell inspiron 1525 laptop HDD with a Crucial v4 128 SSD but have not seen much improvement in boot up speeds. I set the bios to AHCI before upgrading Vista to Windows 7 but It seems that Win7 is treating the SSD drive as if it was a standard HDD. Is there anyway to force Windows 7 to treat my new drive as SSD without having to do a clean install?

Even your laptop only has the SATAI ports, if you do the Tweaks / Optimization of SSD following that http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/270102-32-useful-articles-part . You should see the big improvement.

You should do the fresh install win7 too.

Do you have the upgrade version of win7 only?
