New Power supply not working fully

Hi, I have fitted a 400W power supply (icute A400M) to an HP Pavilion PC replacing a 300W. It is not working correctly, it powers upand all the disks start but it the power light goes off again and it does'nt seem to boot or show an image on the monitor

if the old psu died, it cuould have damaged another component. did you hook up the new psu properly?
the iball is not a high quality power supply. its not that bad either...

I'm fairly sure it was hooked up as per the old one. I suppose I just needed to confirm that the it is OK to upgrade to 400W and there should have been no issues.

Or the new PSU (icute's are pretty junky) is DOA.
