HD 5870 question

I know that HD 5870 IS PWERFUL grafix card blah blah bla ...

would it work "perfectly" with this system

CPU T4300 2.1 Ghz
3.25 GB RAM
600 watt power supply
and a regular MOBO ( you might think "REGULAR" yeah its no gaming mobo so its regular)

this is for my friend , I told him not to invest all of his money on an hd 5870 cause he might get better upgrades for his system

He'd be pretty badly CPU bottlenecked, he's much better off with a E7500 or Q9550 upgrade and an HD 5850 or HD 5770 instead.

Agree, the 5870 would be a waste of money in that system as the CPU would be big bottleneck

actually, for that, id get this:

that is as or more powerful than a 5850, and wouldnt be bottleneck as bad. he could, and should try to upgrade atleast his cpu, however that would be a waste of money. id get a new cheap quad core, maybe amd?

because a t4300 is a laptop CPU...

I told him to get the 5770 or the 5830
too bad he already paid for it ...
also he has 17" crt monitor does it kinda limit the 5870 potential !?

A t4300 is a laptop. You can't upgrade a laptop GPU.

@ Bluescreendeath am not sure of what am gonna say but in light of the information given above . may I say this :
a T4300 is apparently a laptop CPU but in my friends case its a desktop PC CPU !!
The Upgrading proccess isn't the Prob. its the wasting money . he paid a 475$ for the HD 5870 he could have got a new AMD quad core CPU with A good MOBO and a 4870 vapor 1gb ... IF ANYone supports my suggestion pleaz say it

HE BOUGHT A 5870 FOR 475$?! if he was gonna waste his money, he could have atleast bought a cheaper one like this:
