Will buying a $100 upgrade (added 512mb ATI Radeon HD 5450) to my prospective laptop be worth it if I don't play any games or do 3D rendering? I need to be able to use Photoshop and have good performance, and I don't know if it's worth it custom ordering from HP just for the extra graphics card, or buying it straight from the store with the Intel HD only. Any advice would be helpful! It's a time sink navigating through lists and lists of benchmarks, barely even knowing how to translate the numbers into practical differences and benefits. Thanks for your time!

The prospective laptop has:
i5 430m processor
4GB ram
500GB hard drive

I'm gonna be using Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. and watching DVDs

If you aren't going to play games, then stick with the Intel HD will be fine for PhotoShop.

For really big brushes and effects in photoshop (and big images) a better GPU can help.

Stay with your current setup, it should be enough for your need...
