To add on to the above:
System Spec
Q6600 2.4GHz
ASUS P5KC
8800GT 512mb

EDIT:
So I've had a route around. Am i right in thinking that as my CPU's fsb is currently rated at 1066MHz this is the reason for the 533MHz RAM? If so, if the fsb would need to be altered to get it to the 666MHz?

So it's as simple as adjusting the number in the bios then? I thought that to do it you had to modify the FSB...

What would you suggest the multiplier to be set at? Its currently at x6.0. Wouldn't have to increase the voltage slightly as well?

You should be able to hit 3ghz without a voltage increase, or maybe a slight one.

To do that overclocking, you'll need to either unlink the cpu from the fsb or change the dimm ratio so that your ram does not run faster than 1333 or it will fail to boot.

Yes it's as easy as manually setting the specs for your ram.
