Hi
My first time with a digital camera, i have downloaded the software but
can't seem to sort out the Drivers, i plugged in the USB cable to my comp
and the other end to my camera, it said a hardware wizard would pop up [ i
am running Windows XP] and nothing happened. It did say in the manual not
to switch on the camera, so i didn't, i also haven't even tried the camera,
e.g. put in the batteries and started the camera as i wasn't sure if i
should do that because of the hardware wizard not coming up on the screen, i
expect this will cause much laughter here, but honest, as you can see i do
need the very basic help to start me off here, is there someone who will be
kind enough to help me out, thanks in advance and Merry Xmas everyone!

Hi Sally,
Go ahead and put the batteries in the camera, hook up the camera to the USB cable,
then turn the camera on. The computer should then recognize the new hardware and
do its thing.
Let us know how that worked out. If you still have problems we'll do what we can
to help get you connected properly.

Ricoh has a very good customer service department, that will walk you
through the procedure by telephone. Their toll-free number is in the
manual. Last time I checked, they were available 24 hours a day.
