ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: This is the first PC I’m trying to build. I am a student who uses it for general purposes but would also like to be able to play games, specifically starcraft 2 on it. I was trying to build a balanced PC that would do this. I got these suggestions from friends and wanted to know if they would work out and make sense, or if there were better combinations out there. Thank you!

I would drop the HDD to a Samsung Spinpoint F3. The 1tb is $74.99 if you need that much space, or the 500gb is $54.99

I would grab the 4gb G Skill ECO 1600mhz RAM CL7 - $104.99. It is barely more expensive and is better and faster and according to the mobo site it can cope with this speed.

I would get the XFX 650W combo deal with the 945 - $184.98
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.454694

I would then buy a 5770 Vapor X at $154.99 after rebate,

or the standard version for $134.99 aftr rebate. Both are better than the old technology of the GTS250

This is just a brief outline, I get the feeling Bat has a great build there for you (I can't see it as I am at work)

Oh man, thank you guys for the quick replies! The samsung HDD definitely makes more sense, as well as the RAM.
