Disable on board Video card from Bios

My PC is HP p6230f
I have question regarding disable the onboard video card from bois to select the PCIe as a primary video card.
The questions is: If I set a primary video to the PCIe without installing a video card in the PCIe slot, and restart my pc to start windows, Am I going to see the onboard video card disabled??
Actually I tried it and when windows boot to start I still keep gettting the onboard viedo setting, although I changed the bois setting to the PCIe 16

IS this normal or indicate a problem??

thanks in advance

  1. If you don't have a PCIe graphics card installed, it will automatically revert to using the on-board graphics. Adding a PCIe graphics card should automatically disable the on-board graphics.
