Ok, so I might be getting some new parts and was wondering; ok lets say like hmmmmm crysis?? what frames per second I'd get on Medium / High , and or On Company of Heroes on Very High, or what ever high end game you could relate these specs too would really swede, because i'm getting them for pretty cheep... anyways thank you, i'm just wondering if it's worth the upgrade.. you know?

specs :
- Intel Q9450 quad, 2.66GHz!!!...
- Gigabyte X38-DS4
-with a pretty low DDR2 1G Asus EN9500GT that i plan on upgrading

I plan on using crossfire on either or of these motherboards. But i've hear that the card i got is pretty low end but check this video out

But on these specs, do you any of you think I could run Crysis on say 1024x, 2x, high/very high

The ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO AM3 will only run crossfire at X16/X4.The Gigabyte X38-DS4 will do x16/x16.

Upgrading the GPU will help with framerates better the the CPU/MB.

You want to crossfire so I would get a HD5770 even with only one would almost double your framrates over the 9500GT.

I have a friend with a similar setup w/8800GT and THAT struggles with Bad Company 2.

I wouldnt hold your breath, atleast not for High or Maxed out settings.

You'll be lucky to get playable frame rates @ 1280x1024 / Low shadows / and medium everything else. No AA.

Your 9500GT is going to struggle with Crysis. Crysis will stress even today's most modern graphics cards at higher resolutions (ATI 5850/5870, GTX 470/480, etc). High/Very High settings with the 9500GT would probably be unplayable/choppy to be honest (below 30FPS).

Bad Company 2 will probably tax your 9500GT as well. The one good factor you have with BC2 in particular, is the fact that you have a Quad Core CPU. The game seems to run best with Quad Cores. :)

Yeah I plan on selling it and looking for some cheep decent ati's to sli till the new 2.0 PCI's come out.

Just for right now I guess I'm stuck with the DDR2, i'm lucky I could afford the quad core+gigmobo. It was 230 bucks for the whole setup except the graphic card (60$) .

(n I wouldn't even play in that high res, I'm used to 1024.)

Why do people say that? "Your CPU has nothing to do with Framerates" paraphrased. cus if you have a horrible mobo, sick ass graphic card and like a 1.66 ghz.. you're gonna have low frames

Any sugestions on what graphic cards to keep an eye out for, and or are pretty cheep. I'd say next month I'd be able to toss 150 towards one. n not some GtX480 thats like 5 bills like ***, who would spend that on that.

I wish there was some bm's on google for the card. A lot of youtube videos seeming to play Crysis at playable frame rates. Say company of heroes on very high? or GTA4,

And thank you everyone for posting.
