My pc freezes when playing games

My pc is 1 year old and this problem started recently i use

Quad core 2.93Ghz
one GTX260 graphics card
Asus P5N-D motherboard
600 watt sli certified smps
windows 7 64 bit

The problem is with all games, i tried installing different drivers, freshly installed new os, updated motherboard bios and i checked with evga precision, my pc freezes when gpu temperature goes to 80-82c. Its working fine in other times the problem is only when i play games. There was no problem before and it started recently.

what may be the cause and how can it be solved. Please help

Your GPU may be overheating as over the year it has collected dust in its fan. Try increasing fan speeds/underclocking or cleaning out the fan. Otherwise case fans may be getting dusty too, blocking air flow.
