How to pair 2 sets of RDRAM

I have 512MB(2*256) RDRAM installed in slot0 & 1 of a Dell Dimension 8200. These are PC800-40ns ECC modules
I recently ordered 1GB(2*512) of RDRAM with same specs as the current one.

How do I pair these 2 sets?
Option1

slot0 - 256MB (existing)
slot1 - 256MB (existing)
slot2 - 512MB (new)
slot3 - 512MB (new)

Option2
----------
slot0 - 512MB (new)
slot1 - 512MB (new)
slot2 - 256MB (existing)
slot3 - 256MB (existing)

Option 3 (Recommended by Dell Rep)
----------------------------------------------
slot0 - 512MB (new)
slot1 - 256MB (existing)
slot2 - 512MB (new)
slot3 - 256MB (existing)

you should use 3rd option
use color code always yellow yellow one set
orange orange other set

Thanks for response nagash. I will open the box and take a look. I didnt know they were color coded
