Hi,

I have some fan noice problem with my computer and have been trying to find out if I could lower fan RPM.

Thing is, when I use speedfan, it says temp1: 42 degrees C, Temp2: 47 degrees C and temp3: 86 dregrees C! And this is with CPU usage at about 25-30%. Then again, with Everest - Ultimate ed I got temps at 42C for motherboard, and between 48-57C for CPU. And CPU fan seems to be at 4754 RPM.

I'm not sure what to think and don't know what to do. At the moment it's just terrible loud and I don't want to use it.

Anyone got any ideas?

(btw:
CPU - AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition, Quad Core, 3,2Ghz, AM3, 8MB, 125W,
Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H, Socket-AM3)

What CPU cooler are you using?

There are loads of fan speed controllers about, cheap or expensive.

Try checking temps using Core Temp or Hardware Monitor and see what they say, the 86 deg might be your graphics card.
