Cpu,mobo,memory upgrade help

ok im just looking around for a new CPU, motherboard and DDR3 memory.

heres what i have now.

Dell XPS 630i:
intel core 2 Q3800 @ 2.5GHz
nForce 650I SLI mobo
4gigs of DDR2 Kingston
Nvidia GTX 560 ti 1gig
ST350041 8AS SCSI 500gig HDD
750 Watt power supply
use a 1920 x 1080 res monitor

Im looking at a Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R Intel X58 motherboard with a Intel I7-950 3.06GHz. now for memory i have no clue what type or brand is good for gaming, but i see PNY 2GB DDR3 1333 mhz pc3-10600 NON ECC Desktop Memory on ebay for 15.99 each (once again not sure if this is good just going by price).

would any of these be a decent upgrade for what i have or not?

  1. What do you use your computer for? What is your budget? Will you sli/cf? Are you in the US?
  2. its mostly for gaming. games like crysis, final fantasy 14, rift, and tera when it comes out. not really a buget, im paying for college so im not looking to get them all at the same time. right now i just have one gtx 560 ti not sure if ill get a second so no SLI right now. yes im in US
  3. The i5 2500k is better for gaming. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115072

The p67 extreme4 is the recommended sli/cf board here, just in case you do sli. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157229 There could be a better deal on a combo with a different mobo depending on when you buy it.

And 2x4gb 1600 ram. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231428 This could also be different depending on combos when you buy.
