Keyboard & Mouse Question

My desktop and mouse did not come with a power off button, and they get signal from a usb reciever on my desk, that thing is no switch either... So am I supposed to remove the batteries everytime i dont use it?...

  1. Typically, those devices will have a "time-out" feature when not used for a while they power down to re-activated. Also, instead of removing batteries if still a concern, why not just unplug the USB?
  2. thats true, thanks for the input. But I find it inconvinient to crawl behind my desk every time to unplug it =P I guess ill just let it do its standby. ty
