why my computer wont boot?

What are some troubleshooting steps i could take to figure out why my computer wont boot?

I transferred all my parts into a new case and hard drive, dvd-rom, processor, and fans all power on but I have no video. Also usb and keyboard is not lit up. I think it is a grounding issue. But just wanting some ideas.

1-Make sure there are no un-used motherboard stand-offs shorting you MOBO.
2-Make sure your 8-pin and 24-pin motherboard connections are properly installed.

If one and two fail.

3-Set-up your system outside of the case and attempt to boot up.
4-If your system boots up outside of the case it is likely an issue with the case shorting you MOBO.
