Computer failure

My computer will not recognize the hard drive. It was working fine, but now it doesn't recognize the hard drive even in the CMOS. Is the hard drive bad, or could it be some other problem?

First check if all the connectors (namely the power supply plug to the hard drive and the SATA wire) are connected properly.. If required, change the power supply connector and/or the SATA wire.. Try connecting in some different SATA port also..

I just checked my cousin's office HDD. It turns out the HDD is dead (R.I.P, dude :lol...

I hope that's not the case with yours. The same symptoms though... Hmmm

Always a pain in the neck when that happens. Hope he had a good back-up routine in place!
