Hello, I installed a new sata blu ray burner on my computer running win7 ultimate and I have been having trouble booting up. I replaced the old dvd drive that was an p-ata connection. I got it all the way to boot up a couple of times but mostly it doesn't see my internal hard drives with the bluray attached to a sata controller card. My mb only had to sata connections that are both used by hdds
I seem to have found my answer although I have no idea why it should work. I unplugged my hdd with the operating system from the motherboard and plugged it into the controller card and plugged the blu ray burner in the motherboard, The computer now boots fine and all drives are showing. Go figure.
