Power switch on case does power on but does NOT power off.

Hello,

I just purchased a new bare bones kit and I'm having issues with power. When I initially configured all of the hardware, the power switch on the case would turn the machine on but would not turn it off. Everything seemed to be working fine otherwise. However, when I got up the next morning and tried to power it on it would only power on for a second, then turn off. Could this be a faulty motherboard?

I've seen two things...
1) Power switch gets stuck.
2) Power switch connector (to jumpers on motherboard) is not seated correctly or in the correct spot.

I suspect something more serious. Do you know what brand Power Supply came in the kit ?
