MAC is not recognize external hard disk after shutdown

Hello,

I have connected my Buffalo External Hard Disk - 320GB to my Mac, after used, I have shut downed my MAC without safely ejected the hard Disk.

Next Use,The external hard disk was not recognize not only by my MAC but also by the other WINDOWS PCs.

What is the problem and how I can solve this, please help me.

Most likely the drive was not finished writing and the shutdown at that point corrupted the MBR. You should be able to repair the MBR on either a MAC or PC, but the specific method depends on which OS version you do it on.
