Catalyst 10.6 with 5970.. help?

Hey everyone, has anybody else had problems with catalyst 10.6?

I have a 5970, and after installing 10.6, I noticed that my performance in crysis dropped dramatically at max setings @ 1920 x 1080.

I uninstalled, and things went back to normal. As of this moment I do not have any catalyst drivers installed.

Should I give 10.5 a go?

Well Catalyst 10.6 worked fine with my 5970 until yesterday(which it froze in any game and i had to shut down), so i installed 10.5 and its OK now.
So definitely test with 10.5 and check if your FPS drops or not.

You must have some kind of driver installed, otherwise nothing would be working. I'm guessing Windows rolled back to your previous version when you removed 10.6.

Just to be on the safe side, grab a utility called DriverSweeper.

Remove your current driver, reboot in safe mode, run DriverSweeper to clean out the remnants of you old drivers, and then reboot and install the new version.

If your issue persists, post on the ATi websites. They need to know about it.

I haven't played crysis since I update to 10.6 on my Asus 5970 but I have been palying a lot of Sniper Ghost Warrior and Singuilarity without problems.

5970 is overclocked to 825 - 1125. I had to much stability problems at high overclocks.
