So, I'm going to replace the SSD on my system. I'm leaning towards the upcoming Samsung 840 Pro and need some advice.

I have an Asus P8P67 DELUXE motherboard.

I'm debating between dual 128GB 840 Pros in Raid 0 and a single 256GB.

Either way, this will be my only drive in the PC. Boot and App together.

The 128GBs feature a slower slightly slower read speed and a slower write:

128GB - 530/390

256GB - 540/520

The 256GB also has a 512MB cache vs the 256MB in the 128GB.

So where would I see the best performance? Dual 128 in RAID 0 or a single 256?

Also, how well should the 840 Pro work with my marvell controller on my Asus?

Thanks!

I would go with a single 840 Pro 256 GB. You have more then enough performance, also your data is more secure and the SSD can be connected to nearly every other system in case of a mainboard error. Waiting time mostly means Software is working.
You have to connect your SSD to the integrated Intel 6 GBit/s controller. Everything else will decrease performance.
