well I am looking for a budget VGA for my friend in the $70 range the lower the better, I was looking in benchmarks and I saw that the ati radeon 4670 seems to be a great card, is it ok for a gaming card but ofc on low or med settings

he runs a 1400x900 resolution

Solution
512Mb is plenty for a HD4670 most of the 1Gb cards have slower (G)DDR2 ram that will slow the card down compared with (G)DDR3.

wow thats one really great deal, but he doesnt live in US so he cant use it, he doesnt have the budget for the 9800 gt.

btw, since most of you agree that 4670 seems like a good card for this budget, do you think he should get the 1 gb version or 512 mb version, the 1 gb is equivalent of $80 here and 512 is about $67 is it worth it, also for the same price of 4670 512 he can get the 4650 1 gb version

so what should he go with, sorry for disturbing you, thanks for any answer

note: I know 13$ isnt much but he is a kid(I am his somewhat older nephew) and doesnt know how to save :lol:

The HD4670 is a good choice. Some other option are the 9600GT and GT 240, depending on the prices where you are.
In terms of gaming performance for cards in the $50-100 range(in the US at least);
HD4850 > 9800GT > HD5670> 9600GT > GT 240 > HD4670 > HD5570 > HD4650 > 9500GT
