Graphic card not working

I have ASUS M2NPV-MX, XP HOME SP3, 4 RAM, fitted nVIDIA 9400GT for hdmi output, connected to 32" LG lcd tv and all worked fine for a while, ran antivirus etc and no probs, did driver updates through driver detective and all ok. Did updates recently and graphic card not working, not even showing on hardward monitor in control panel, have I goosed the card or blocked the pci-e slot, and is there a way of testing to see whats up?, thanks in advance

Not sure I understand what you did exactly to get to your problem:

Did you do a windows update and now your graphics card isn't working, or did you do a driver update?

Please share as many details as you can so we can help you best : )

Download and install drivers from here http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp-257.21-whql-driver.html and see if that solves the problem.

following on, just tried ati x600 in pci slot and system not reading it, looks like I have somehow downloaded update for the motherboard and it has blocked the pci slot
