I just got a GA-Z68X-UD3P-B3 motherboard, which has both the Intel Z68 SATA3 controller and the Marvell 88SE9172 SATA3 controller. Will there be any performance difference between the 2 for setting up 2 SSD's in RAID 0, or will I not see any real difference either way?

Solution
It is typically recommended to run off the Intel Z68 SATA3 controller with the Intel RST drivers. The Marvell controllers have limitations on their throughput on SATA3 devices (don't break the 450 Mb/s range it seems). The Intel controllers are able to get above the 500 Mb/s range. With two SATA3 SSD's installed in RAID0, you'll want the max throughput... :D
