I have a 8800GT OC'D by BFG, and it has an extremely loud fan. It was fine with my first case, pretty muffled, but then i upgraded my computer to the HAF 922
All the fans are very quiet EXCEPT the one on my graphics card. I'm thinking of getting a fan controller to control the speed, but I want someone else's opinion, first.
I don't want to under-clock it or anything like that, it's fine the way there is, but, is there anyway I can just shut the thing up? I've tried unplugging the fan power connector, but that just makes my motherboard scream like a bitch. Sooo, any opinions, or is the fan controller my best bet?
about two years ago I had a XFX 8800GT Alphadog XXX edition was a "high" oc'ed card i, was trying to figure out how to get the fan speed down it was on 100% the whole time, and figure out that you could not turn down the fan speed because it was a "oced" edition. but im not sure how its with BFG
