Upgrade help please!!!

hey guys i have an acer t180 desktop and want to upgrade my gpu but must 1st upgrade cpu or else i will get a bottleneck.. my current cpu is an AMD Sempron 3200+ @1.8Ghz

what gpu u got ? and from my knowledge, u will defo need a new cpu, if your planning on gaming that is, dual core/quad

A quick look around the internet indicates you got an AM2 motherboard. While it says your board supports Athlon X2 CPUs it doesn't give too much information so perhaps it only supports Windsor CPUs of 95W and below. You'll have to contact Acer tech support to see exactly which CPUs your motherboard supports and if you will need a BIOS upgrade. Since you want to upgrade your GPU you should also check what kind of PSU you have as that my limit you as well.

ok thanks for help i have a 550w psu and i wont b able 2 upgrade my bios as there is no version for windows 7 available i think im guna buy new mobo, proc, ram, case, video card and all d other stuff and build a new system
