Guys,Im upgrading from pentium D 930(finally) need a new procy, mobo,RAM,power supply and graphic card
Imnot planning to spend much......so here's my decided config:

AMD Athlon II X4 635
Asus M4A87TD mobo
Transcend 2GB DDR3 RAM 1333Mhz C9
450watt PSU

My questions are as follows:
1. is a 450 watt enuf?
2.I have a 19 inch LCD(1440X900)....previously had a XFX 8600gt 512 DDR3card. Looking for a new card......which is better 9600gt/GT 240 DDR5/5570 DDR5...will I get a good enuf upgrade from my 8600GT

Is it for gaming or general use?

For gaming I would drop the processor to an Athlon II x3 or even x2 and spend more on the graphics card.

For general use I would get a motherboard with onboard graphics.

The 9600 is basically the same as an 8600. None of those cards are worth buying to replace the 8600 with. You would need to get a 5750 or GT250 to get enough of a speed boost to be worthwhile. If the GPU is needs replaced and you cant afford the more expensive cards then the 240 or preferably 5670 would be the way to go.
