Hi Bro's!
I have 8800gt Alpha Dog.
I m bit afraid of its temps cuz on ideal it remain on 65 to 68 and on load it touches 95c to 98c,sometime above 100.
Is it normal for this perticular model?
you can use gpu-z to check fan speed and temps
but check if its rotating well... you can use MSI afterburner to set fan speed..
That's going to depend on the type of cooler fitted, if it's the single slot design like my two had on then Riva won't tell you the fan speeds and neither that nor MSI Afterburner can be used to to set the fan speed.

yes it depends on the cooler...
i don't think that there is problem if he tries his luck... if he cant control then its his bad luck...
My two 8800GT Alpha Dogs are using Zalman VF900 coolers and they don't go above 60c under heavy load but if yours still has the single slot cooler on and you don't want to replace it, then just make sure that it's as dust free as possible.
