Pci express 2.1 vs x16 performance question

So, today I finally ordered my long awaited Radeon HD 5770 and completely overlooked the fact that my mobo only has a x16 slot available(not that it's necessarily a bad thing). This will be my first real video card since the nvidia 5000 era, I was pretty curious how well the card is going to perform. Share your thoughts please

typical games include WoW, Fallout 3, Savage 2,*and hopefully one day soon diablo 3 :lol: *

I'm aware it wont be nearly as effective as having a 2.0 slot available, I'm just curios how well that 'capped' performance is going to be with the games listed above.

There's not that much hype about capped performance when using PCIe 1.0. Anyway, PCIe 2.0 cards are backwards compatible with PCIe 1.0. Plus, performance capping is usually noticeable only for PCIe x4 slots.
