Random B O D

Hi i got this problem on my new built computer it gives me a random blue screen of death and i was wondering if it could be possible that my Main board doesnt support my cpu like i saw the the main boards box it said it support amd 770 amd phenom II x 3 and amd phenom II x4 but i got a amd Anthlon II x 4 so i was wondering if that could be the problem or am i like a total idiot?

Define "random BSOD". Does the system work sometimes, meaning, can you boot to Windows?

BSOD is usually linked with Drivers of any kind and/or RAM.
