ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: This is my first build. I would like to be able to smoothly run 3 poker clients with 1-2 complimentary poker software programs while also watching streaming tv or hdtv through a tv tuner.

I wish to run a second monitor at 1920x1080 as well, maybe even a third in the future. I am clueless at to how much gpu power I would need for either a 2 monitor or 3 monitor setup.

I have been searching though the very helpful site and forums to try and figure out what parts to order. I think I have decided on a blend of a budget/gamer system from the recommended builds post.

This totals right under $800 from Newegg without the gpu or tv tuner. My main concerns are - Is this overkill for my purposes? How much GPU power? Do I need a CPU cooler?

Appreciate any help and suggestions. Thanks.

Thanks for your response. Regarding a GPU, should I try the integrated graphics of the 890gx before investing in a discrete card? Can I run 2 monitors at 1920x1080 without one?
